We are organized to draft regulations for industrial solar projects. Local governments regulate some of the siting concerns. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) regulates the project as if it were a road construction project.
If you are reading this because there’s talk of a solar project coming to your township, contact RPS and we will to help you understand the permitting process and how you can work with local officials to protect our community from losing arable land to solar farming.

Don’t be complacent if you find out your township already has a solar ordinance. A careful read often reveals that they don’t offer much protection to wildlife, watersheds, aesthetics, or nearby neighborhood concerns.
